Lectures

The Society organises 6 evening lectures during the winter months and these are held in the Brora Community Centre, at the rear of Brora Primary School. All talks begin at 7.30pm and most are held on a Thursday.

Open Nights

The Society holds an annual themed ‘open night’, for members and non-members alike, so that particular aspects of the growing Society archive can be displayed to the public.

Last year’s event was held at the Brora Heritage Centre, and over 60 people turned up to see all of the current displays at this gold-mine of a venue.

Annual Summer Exhibition

The Society has held 9 annual exhibitions in the Brora Library, and the 2007 exhibition, ‘Churches in Clyne’ featured the history of all Clyne's churches, coveing all five denominations.

Highland Archaeology Fortnight/Scottish Archaeology Month
Walks and Talks

The Society is heavily involved in guided walks and talks of the archaeology of the parish. Each year it makes a contribution to the above events and these are always popular.

Brora Heritage Centre

The Society supports events and exhibitions held at the Highland Council’s Brora Heritage Centre. There are both changing and permanent exhibitions on display detailing the history and heritage of the parish.

Entry is free, and the centre is open from 10 till 5, Monday to Saturday, May to September.
